A legacy rooted in the soil
Our story at Boss Dogg Farms began generations ago, watching and learning from my grandmother and her mother, who farmed the rich soils of Georgia. They brought their invaluable wisdom north, ensuring every child spent time in the gardens, foraging for plants, herbs, and berries. Hunting, fishing, and tending to the earth weren't just chores; they were a way of life, teaching us to respect nature's bounty and the value of fresh, quality food. As an athlete, I intimately understood the power of nourishment from the land.
From struggle to renewed purpose
Life took an unexpected turn 35 years later, facing debilitating health challenges and the daunting prospect of amputation. Doctors gave grim prognoses, but I couldn't accept it. "Cut me in half?" I cried. A deep depression followed, leading to despair, then My dog died, I was really crushed My wife's poignant question, "Why are you giving up now? You've fought everything since we met," . Then one day a couple years later my step-son called his mom (my wife) I got a dog for Brian, a Cane Corso (Italian mastiff) can I bring her up to the house? It was a turning point, the dog helped me, ignited a spark, pushing me back to the healing embrace of companionship, Hence the name " BOSS DOGG FARMS"( we also breed them),then came prayer again, then gardening, and a profound reconnection with nature and the universe.
Cultivating health and hope
Guided by faith, I discovered the teachings of Dr. Sebi, a Honduran herbalist whose methods offered a new path. I devoured his knowledge, researching the herbs he championed, and embarked on a journey of natural healing. Eighteen years later, I stand here, walking, married, and vibrant, defying predictions. Gardening became my exercise, my calm, my sacred connection to the earth and my avenue back to finding my higher power. This journey taught me the profound power of fresh berries for antioxidants, melons for hydration, and greens like Moringa and Kale for immune health.
